Kristina is a fantastic example of someone who models the Martin values. She is a hard worker with lots of ambition and is open to feedback which will help her advance in her chosen career. Recently we took the opportunity to talk to her about her experience of working with Martin Personnel.

Introduce yourself and what you do

Kia ora, my name is Kristina Harris and I’m an Inventory Controller at Martin Brower.

What is your relationship with Martin Personnel?

If it weren’t for Martin Personnel, I wouldn’t be where I am today. They gave me the opportunity to step up into a team leader role and showcase my skills in a new environment. I am proudly one of their associates, which is basically what a candidate becomes after Martin Personnel places you in a role.

How did you go about getting the role you are in?

It’s funny because, I applied for a Warehouse assistant role advertised on Seek.com, but I sent Martin an extra message; “I am not interested in this role, I just want to get your attention”. Within the same day, they gave me a call back.

What was your recruitment experience like with Martin Personnel?

It was an easy, smooth recruitment process and I felt valued with Martin Personnel. They made sure I was well looked after and any issues I had, they were there to listen. I wanted to be a Team Leader and they secured this position for me at Martin Brower from the moment my employment commenced.

What direction do you see your career heading?

Starting out as a Team Leader has led me to pursue a career with Inventory. This helped me develop skills and utilise tools efficiently in everyday tasks and relationships.

Any other dreams for your future?

In the background, I wish to represent New Zealand in Softball and travel the world playing the game I love. Martin Personnel began this journey for me, and I’m going to finish it.
