Peter Ortega has recently gone from a temporary to a permanent role with Hellers. We had a chat with Peter about his experience of working with Martin Personnel and what it took to achieve the goal many people aspire to – attaining a permanent position.
Hello, my name is Peter John Ortega. I currently work as a warehouse pick packer after working as a process worker at Hellers for two months.
I was applying for jobs on Seek without much success, my sister suggested that I should apply through Martin Personnel, and within a week I was able to secure my first part-time job.
I was looking for a warehouse role, specifically as a pick packer.
My experience with the recruitment team was very positive. They were very supportive and helpful throughout the process, and they regularly checked in on me after I started working to make sure everything was going well.
What stood out the most is how fast and how straightforward the process is. Within a week after I applied to Martin Personnel they were able to give me a part time job.
Yes, I felt very supported and well informed throughout my employment. The recruitment team regularly checked in on me, asked how my job was going, and reassured me that they were always there if I needed any help.
My overall experience with Martin Personnel has been great. They have given me opportunities to gain work experience and develop my overall skills, and I truly appreciate the support that they have provided me throughout my employment journey.
One challenge that I faced during my job search was finding a stable full time job, in which Martin Personnel helped me by placing me in a workplace where I can show my dedication and hard work which eventually led me to a full time job.
After working as a process worker for almost 2 months at Hellers, consistently showing my best and dedication, I was offered a full time position.
I was very happy and grateful when I was offered the position, as all of my hard work and dedication paid off.
I am now a full-time pick packer at Hellers, and I enjoy being part of such an amazing team. They were very welcoming and have supported me throughout my time there. My coworkers are helpful, supportive, and fun to work with, which makes each day enjoyable.
I believe my dedication, hard work, reliability and positive attitude helped me get offered the permanent position at Hellers.
I feel very proud and happy. Thinking about how I started as a part-time worker and now working full-time feels unreal. All the hardships and struggles that I went through, have really paid off.
My advice is to never give up and always do things to your full extent. Struggles and hardships will always come your way, but don't let that stop you from doing your best, because eventually all your hard work will pay off. Always show up and aim to do your best so you can grow everyday.
For me, the most rewarding moment has been meeting and socialising with other people, getting to know them, and building connections. It’s also very rewarding to think back on my journey from starting as a part-time worker to now being a full-time pick packer, seeing my hard work and dedication pay off.
I highly recommend Martin Personnel to anyone looking for job opportunities, as they will never disappoint you. They are very supportive, professional, and genuinely care about helping you succeed in finding stable employment, just like they did for me.
Congratulations Peter on the permanent job at Hellers, we wish you all the best!
